Today we began making Valentines. When I was a teenager I used to babysit for this fabulous family in my hometown and they would make each other Valentines each year. Ever since then I have been looking forward to starting that wonderful tradition with my own children, and this year felt like the perfect year to begin. The girls are at great ages, and if we start now then it will be something that they always remember doing, and hopefully something that they look forward to each year.
This is sure to be a multi-day task, and with Valentine's Day less than a week away it seemed like we had better get started before it was too late. We need to make 15 to bring to the Valentine party on Thursday, and then of course there are Valentines that need to be made for each other too! We got all the supplies out and got to work.
We hope that your week is off to a good start. Ours had a wee bit of a rocky start this morning, but working on the Valentine's helped to put us all in better moods. It's amazing how creating with red, pink and white paper can lift the spirits!
Have a wonderful rest of the day, friends.
We'll see you tomorrow.
