This weekend we headed to the Festival of Trees. It's put on by the historical society, and for those that remember, is the same event where we won the Christmas tree that goes in our kitchen last year. The event was much, much bigger this year. taking over the warehouse across the street from the historical society house. There were roughly 70 artificial trees being raffled off this year. Near tree is a box with a slot and you can put as many tickets as you like into the box of each tree you like in the hopes of winning one. Last year the tree that we won had a 1950s theme too it. It looked fabulous in our kitchen! The girls got such a kick out of the fact that we have not one but two Christmas trees in our house!

It happened totally by accident that we created our first nature table. We have this beautiful half round table in our dinning room. The table has always been one of my favorite pieces, and I have been looking for something to bring more attention to it than it often gets. Above it hangs our wedding document and on it usually sits our Welcoming Spirit (a figurine from the Willow Tree line). With having company the last few days the centerpiece from the dinning room table was often relocated to make space for whatever meal we were having at the time. One night for dinner we moved the centerpiece over to the table and bam! Our first nature table was born.
