Miss Jen, one of the fabulous children's librarians, lead the story hour whose theme is alphabet adventure. The letter of the day was B and she talked about the sound it makes, and words that begin with B. She read stories that were about the letter B and then sent the children on an alphabet safari, handing each child a lower case letter and having them find its upper case match that had been taped around the story hour area. Fabulous!
We found some new books, and a couple of movies too, checked out and headed out the door to discover that the sky was beautifully blue and the sun was shinning! And that could mean there was only one thing to be done once we got home...

Daniel Dominguez and I were more then ready to see what R/GA had to offer. We went to one of their buildings (R/GA has three) on 350 W. 39th ST between 8th and 9th Avenues to meet Axel Lindgren and Rasmus Keger.
Axel and Rasmus are working as a Creative Team at R/GA. We came in right after a big project being finished, so Rasmus and Axel didn’t have the week all figured at right away. This worked out really well, and instead of trying to shadow someone else for a day, we got the chance to ask all kinds of questions about school, work, projects, and more. We also walked around the office and got introduced to people.
Before lunch the same day Axel and Rasmus got the news that they would be presented to a new brief around 4pm and at the same time they got more to do on their current project. So all of a sudden there was tons of stuff to do. Very cool to see this change and to realize how important it is to be flexible.
We didn’t know if we could sit in on the meeting but the Creative Director for the project asked for us. So exciting. We got the brief, looked at the deck and felt really happy about it. This was a great start of what to become an amazing week.
During this week Daniel and I worked as a Creative Team and it was great to do so together with a “real” team. We asked a lot of questions on how they handle conflicts and how they prepare when given a new project. With this information we worked on two projects, on two different accounts.

Selena Gomez is currently working on a slightly harder follow-up to her 2009 debut album, Kiss & Tell. The album, which she released with her band The Scene, was a pop record and Gomez recently told MTV News that for her sophomore effort she wants to go a bit funkier and a bit edgier.
"We were gonna do a deluxe edition of my album, but we started on some songs, so we figured, 'Why not? Let's just go for a second one,' " she explained. "It's kind of different — older — and it's kind of got, like, a reggae sound."
Gomez is only in the early stages of the album-making process. Currently the band is trying to "fill it out," but she knows she'd like to see if she can re-create the vibe from her single "Naturally" — but she's unsure if she's willing to take on the pressure of being the album's main songwriter. "I don't want it all to be on me," Gomez said.
So what about possible collaborators? "Well, I want to work with the producers who did "Naturally' [Antonina Armato, Tim James and Devrim Karaoglu]. They are so sweet," she said. "I'd love to work with Dr. Luke. I think he's awesome," she added about the "I Kissed a Girl" hitmaker.
Gomez noted that on her first record, she made sure she picked tunes that her fans could easily relate to. "I wanted to make sure, A, I can relate to it and B, my fans can relate to it, and it's something that I went through," she explained. "And all of those songs are things that I went through, and that's why I put that all together."
