TO VERIFY “NOR”-GATE BY “IC” METHOD
Apparatus:
Digital multimeter
Connectivity wires
Bread board
DC Power supply
NOR Gate IC box
Theory:
Transistors are devices which have 3-electrodes in 2 junctions which are
Emitter=supplies free charge
Base=controls flow charge
Collector=collects the charge
Collector has high resistance as compared to emitter.
Transistors are of 2=types PNP & NPN. Forward biasing is necessary for operation of transistor.
Procedure:
1. Just like OR Gate, the NOR Gate is also integrated in a IC circuit as 2-input NOR Gate 740-2
2. Attach IC in bread board and 7th pin is grounded and 14th pin is connected to vc
3. First two pins serve as input and third as output and so on.
