TO CONSTRUCT AND DESIGN “NOR-GATE” BY
DISCRETE METHOD
Apparatus:
Diodes
DC Power supply
Bread board
Connectivity wires
Resistances
Digital multimeter
Transistor
Theory:
NOR-Gate is an electronic device which give output zero when either of its one input or both inputs are one.
The Expression is
                        X= A+B
Procedure:
1. First of all, I identified the transistor either it is NPN or PNP .i identified with digital multimeter and took NPN transistor. I connected N type of these diodes and base of transistor and one end of resistance in parallel circuits.
2. The collector of transistor was supplied voltage but emitter was at ground level.
3. NOW SUPPLY VOLTAGE FROM dc POWER SUPLY TO Bread Board for testing circuits.
4. The collector and emitter is also connected with resistance and input is supplied from P type of diode and outputs are obtained.
Conclusion:
The output is one when both the outputs are zero. Otherwise it will be zero.
X= A+B
Applications:
It is used in system unit of CPU.
It is used in garden for automatic watering of plants
It is used in working of refrigerators.
